The nautical theme of the bar reflects the Matheson family's strong connection with the sea. Through the merchant navy, RNLI, prawn trawling, traditional bag net salmon fishing and more recently fish farming.

You are likely to meet some old seafarers at the bar, who can give you an explanation of the various charts and fishing memorabilia on the walls.

The bar has a friendly atmosphere which adopts a very cosmopolitan flavour during the busy summer months. Traditional entertainment is provided weekly.
